KEEP ME THERE
Released in August of 2017, this was our debut EP and has had two tracks featured on BBC Introducing in the South as well as a whole host of other local radio stations. We really started to experiment with our sound to try to find our niche, and I think you can hear that in this EP. Tracks like Nightjar and Checkmate push more into rocky territory, Borrowed Words and Take What You Get capture our more bouncy, energetic side and Welcome Home and Float Away borrow more from our Progressive roots.
Nothing makes you appreciate how far you've come like embracing your roots. This is the first EP we ever recorded as a group. It's definitely rough and ready, but it reminds us of the start of our journey and we love to look back on it through rose-tinted glasses, warts and all.
We recorded the entire 6 track record at our university's (somewhat limited) studio ourselves with practically zero knowledge of how to record, mix, master or produce. We've since learned to leave those bits to the professionals and focus on the songwriting, but we still love to look back at this record, and we hope you'll enjoy it too
