Hot on the heels of 2020’s success, when indie anthems Dance With Your Heart and Away With You both featured as BBC Introducing Tracks of the Day, despite lockdown 2021 saw three fresh releases (available as the Run To Tomorrow EP). How Does It Feel - premiered by Indie Central Music and with a music video premiered by Clout in April; Heavens Gates in June, and Run To Tomorrow in August. All three scored numerous radio and online playlists, international blogs and reviews and each was selected for the Nationwide Co-op Edit playlist compiled by Hattie Pearson.
LOOKING AHEAD TO 2022
Now post-tour, Luna Blue are currently in a writing/recording phase. The band are stoked to be working with new producer and Fickle Friends band member Jack Wilson, with several tracks already in the pipeline for 2022. With next season’s festivals and gigs currently being scheduled, Luna Blue are really looking forward to leaving the pandemic well and truly behind as they continue to build a strong and loyal fanbase across the UK and more widely.
Having played numerous virtual fundraisers during lockdown (including for #HelpTheHomeless, Seb’s 24-hour Nirvana Drumathon - which raised a massive £1375 for #SaveOurVenues - and a gig for Underscore Pt 3) last November saw Over The Moon Festival - 6 tracks specially recorded at Brighton’s Electric Studio, including a soulful cover of Michael Jackson’s Earth Song. The event raised £500 for UK charity Animals Asia, whom the band have ‘adopted’ and are supporting with a rescheduled fundraising gig in the South West (close to Animals Asia’s HQ).

“How Does It Feel is an epic swirl of swooping vocals, tight guitar riffs and killer drum beats. The chorus is extremely infectious and when matched with a ‘signature’ Luna Blue instrumental break, you’ve got yourself a killer pop-rock track” Alex Pearson, Indie Central Music (April 2021)
BBC Radio Sussex & BBC Radio Surrey's Track of the Day : Dance With Your Heart (10.8.20) & Away With You (18.5.20)
“Luna Blue played a powerful BBC Introducing Live Lounge session for us. We picked them for their strong song writing, hooky melodies and atmospheric arrangements.” (Melita Dennett (BBC Introducing)
