LUNA BLUE

BBC RADIO SUSSEX / BBC RADIO SURREY TRACK OF THE DAY, BBC UPLOAD SHOW, BBC INTRO

Alt indie 4-piece Luna Blue hail from Brighton, UK.   Apparently bastard sons of Two Door Cinema Club and Foals, Luna Blue are busy connecting with loyal and new fans through their signature high-energy music, working with producer (& Fickle Friends band member) Jack Wilson to release 3 new singles this year, heading for an autumn EP.

CHARITABLE SUPPORT

Having played several virtual fundraisers during lockdown including Seb’s 24-hour Nirvana Drumathon (which raised a massive £1375 for #SaveOurVenues) Luna Blue recorded Over The Moon Festival in Nov 2020 - 6 tracks specially recorded at Brighton Electric Studio, including a soulful cover of Michael Jackson’s Earth Song.  The event raised £500 for Animals Asia the band’s adopted charity, with a further £700 raised during a live show in Exeter at the end of January 2022.

PRESS QUOTES

"Ryan’s solo at the end of ‘How Does It Feel’ was the highlight of the gig, and would make guitar players say ‘why do I even try’. Seb’s drums were explosive, Tom’s vocals make you want to scream the words, and Nick’s bass line dances as much as he does - definitely a band who deserve a following up North, and one I hope to see again during festival season."

Will Waterhouse Oldham St review for The Mancunion : Easter 2022

“How Does It Feel is an epic swirl of swooping vocals, tight guitar riffs and killer drum beats. The chorus is extremely infectious and when matched with a ‘signature’ Luna Blue instrumental break, you’ve got yourself a killer pop-rock track”

Alex Pearson, Indie Central Music (April 2021)

“Luna Blue played a powerful BBC Introducing Live Lounge session for us.  We picked them for their strong song writing, hooky melodies and atmospheric arrangements.”
